After the sterilisation however, your cat loses this regulation capability, and eats more than necessary. This can lead to weight gain and health problems.
Within 48 hours of the sterilisation taking place, your cat’s ingestion rises with 20% while his energy demand declines by 30%.
Bladder stones are frequent problems for sterilized cats, since they drink less, and especially if they are overweight.
